John Toperzer: Tuesday's poll: Who deserves the Norris Trophy? The last two weeks of the regular season might well determine which player wins the award for the NHL's best all-around blueliner

Langaniere is a very skilled kid. I would be stunned if he went anywhere but Montreal though.

So, we don't have a first or a second round pick in the upcoming draft. In essence, Hartzell is our first round pick and a college free agent like Miller, Root, or Langaniere could constitute a second round pick.

Bottom line, we need to add to our prospect pool for forwards.

I agree and never thought of that... if we get root or langaniere then those are like 1st and 2nd round picks plus hartzell... those guys will go right into playing with kolarik and marcantuni (sp) in wb/s

Best matchup for us would be the Jets. After the last time we played them, the post game comments out of their locker room showed they wanted no part of us come playoff time. Would probably end in 4 games. Possibly 3

I'd change Subban and Suter. As much as I despise Subban, he's been absolutely fantastic, aside from some of his antics. But Suter is also a worthy candidate. Letang would probably get it had he not been so injured.

Don't be so sure. Strange things can happen in the playoffs. All things being equal, yes, you'd have to favor the Pens. But I think the Jets are a team built more for the playoffs than regular season. I'd actually think the Canadiens or Islanders would be the best match-up (obviously won't draw Mtl in round 1).

Isles always give us fits, wouldn't want them in round 1, they would be the worst of the potential match ups IMO

We are a mightmare match-up for the Jets. Not buying them at all. Islanders play us well.

Subban is having a great year but I think suter will get it. Letang would have been a favorite if not for his injury, Karlsson would have been a strong challenger also.

I'd also like to throw Shea Weber into the mix, simply for being Shea Weber. I will miss his playoff beard this year. This saddens me and all ladies of the world.

Suter all the way, Subban is no scrub, but it took 15-20 games into the season before he was playing at a dominant level, and in a 48 game season that matters a lot.

Plus, people who don't look at the stats in-depth don't realize a massively disproportionate amount of his points come on the PP, he generates almost no offense at even strength.

Really? I don't see that at all. With the Jets I see a mentally frail group of guys who, yes, have some grit, but aren't cohesive or focused enough to go far in the second season.

Yeah, Subban has been playing great but I'd give it to Suter this year.

Also haven't a lot of Subbans points been on the PP with Markov? Markov could basically run the PP on most teams in this league when he's healthy.

you again?
I hope he gets it just so you shut your mouth. Subban owns right now. He is by far mtl mvp. he deserves it as much as Suter.

Probably gets a concussion and sits out half the season.

Were we talking about Crosby or someone else?

The Wild are 17-3-3 when Ryan Suter registers a point.

6-13 when he does not.

Leads NHL in TOI/game.

Last year Minnesota was 27th ranked PP and Nashville was #1 overall. Suter had 25 PP points in Nashville.

This year Minnesota is 16th and Nashville is 19th. Suter has 14 PP points for Minnesota.

If I were you I'd put out an Amber Alert for Carey Price's confidence.
Missing for a week with no sign of returning.

1st Round Playoff matchup I'd want: Buffalo

Who I wouldn't want to face: the "new, reenergized" NYR, really.

Best d-man: I'd give it to Ryan Suter over PK Subban (just because of age..and deserves more based on past years...both are playing good hockey).

Hart: Crosby all the way.
Art Ross: Crosby over Stamkos.
